Introduction

David Zach is one of the few professionally trained futurists on this planet, and has a master’s degree in Studies of the Future from the University of Houston.

He’s worked at Northwestern Mutual Life and Johnson Controls, and taught Future Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

Dave has worked with over 1200 clients, including really big companies such as Apple, Harley Davidson, Abbott Labs, 3M, and IBM.

During his career, Dave’s been on the program with such interesting people as Mike Ditka, Newt Gingrich, and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

This means that Dave is either on his way up or on his way down.

David Zach is going to take us on a down–to–earth guided tour of the future. He does not use tea leaves, astrology, or the Psychic Friends Hotline.

He’s never met Shirley MacLaine. He’s never even been Shirley MacLaine. Dave’s just an ordinary guy asking a very old question: Where do we go from here?

Please welcome David Zach, futurist.

TO THE MEETING PLANNER:
The humor in this intro is a vital part of the presentation. It helps set the stage for a warm response from the audience and lets them know what to expect. Please choose as “Introducer” someone who is comfortable delivering humor.

TO THE INTRODUCER:
Please introduce yourself to me before the talk so we can go over last–minute details and customize to make a great introduction. Thanks!

Oh, and Zach rhymes with Bach, not back.
