Our speaker today is David Zach

and he has a master’s degree in Studies of the Future from the University of Houston — which makes him one of the very few professionally trained futurists on this planet. Then again, he got that degree way back in 1981, so it’s pretty much history at this point.

As a futurist, David’s spoken to over 1500 audiences around the world to an interesting mix of clients, such as Apple & IBM, Harley-Davidson & the Critical Care Nurses Association, Miller Brewing & the National Gun Show. He’s had a couple of real jobs, one with Johnson Controls and the other with Northwestern Mutual. In December 2013, he completed a three year term as a Public Director on the board of the American Institute of Architects.

Because he cannot predict the Lottery numbers — he’s here with us today

to talk about trends, traditions and how you can take ownership of your own future.

Please welcome David Zach, futurist.

Please note — but do not read this part to the audience!

1. Zach rhymes with Bach, as in that Johann Sebastian Bach piano guy.

2. You want the audience to get ready to enjoy a humorous speaker, so please do not edit or leave out the punch lines in this introduction!
